The Ministry of John Mosonik

The Ministry of John Mosonik

John Mosonik is a long-time ministry partner of Colonial Church. John and his wife, “Mama” Caroline, serve in Kenya. Arthur Rouner first met John in the 80‘s during his travels to Kenya. John Mosonik was a kid then, but when he grew up he started his own ministry in Kenya and was a seminary student of Greg Snell, who some of you may know as a former Mission Pastor here at Colonial and now another of Colonial’s mission partners. So there is a lot of great history with John and his ministry even before John became a formal mission partner in the 90’s.

John is a Children’s Minister. So in addition to the great Children’s staff we have right here in this building, Colonial has an adjunct Children’s Minister who serves all the way over in Kenya! So it’s a blessing and a privilege for Colonial to be able partner with John.

John reaches out to Kenyan children through Vacation Bible School and through camps. Mama Caroline ministers to parents through a program called Moms-in-Touch where she is the national director. They do this in the Kenyan church, but not just in a single congregation. They travel around between several churches, training and organizing.

John is a great leader and communicator. He regular updates Colonial church with their ministry objectives for the upcoming months and I share those with you:

  • VBS going in 7 different locations, twice a year in April and December.
  • Train 500 Sunday School teachers this year.
  • Reach was 3,000 kids last year.
  • Develop long term partnership with the evangelical churches and institutions, such as orphanages, and children homes and Schools.
  • Utilize our Seminary for Networking with our Students in reaching out to their Churches.
  • Moms In Touch International Made Mama Caroline to be the Kenya National Director in April this year;  Pray for her as she reaches out to Women in Kenya.

We’ll close with a note from John:

Greetings from Kitale in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We appreciate so much your love for us and your continued concern. Please pass our love to the church and all our Loved ones. May our good Lord bless and Keep you. Amen.

John and Caroline Mosonik.
