The Sheridan Story partners with churches to help in the fight against child hunger. In the two years since becoming a winning Innové Protégé, The Sheridan Story as expanded from one school to 65+ schools.
Sheridan’s incredible growth has allowed more children to be served, while also creating opportunities for more churches to partner around the Twin Cities. But more children served means that many, many more bags of food need to be prepared each week, so that volunteers can place them into backpacks on Fridays.
We can help that! Plus, if Colonial Church and the Upper Room should join forces, we can collectively make a huge difference. So on Friday, September 18th, we’re going to do just that.
Our CC + UR Packing Event will be held in the Great Hall on Friday, September 18.
The Sheridan Story will – for one evening only – move its warehouse into our space. The Great Hall will be packed with sorting tables and food will be stacked several pallets high. But with Colonial Church and Upper Room’s combined efforts, we’ll be able to take all the bulk food and place it into bags so that they can be placed into student’s backpacks this coming school year.
This combined mission event will be designed for all ages, meaning that entire families can participate.
Stay tuned. RSVP details will be coming soon.
