What to Expect

Welcome, Beloved.

There’s a place for you, your questions, your story, and every part of you at Meetinghouse Church.

What to expect on your first visit.

You are (truly) welcome here.

Being a welcoming church isn’t just an aspiration, it’s one of our deepest values. So when you arrive on your first visit, whether that’s in person or online, we want to create a place where you feel welcomed. If you’re visiting us in person, please stop by our Connection Corner so we can say hello and make sure you receive all of the information you’re needing & looking for.

Come as you are.

We want you to feel welcome to come as you are, both inside and out. While we don’t have a dress code, our Traditional service ranges from casual to business attire, and our Alternative service is generally more casual.

Parking is simple.

When you arrive at Meetinghouse, parking is easy. With two large parking lots, there is plenty of space for you to find parking. With access from both the north and east sides and wheelchair accessibility if you need it, getting in and out of the parking lot at Meetinghouse is no problem.

Arriving at Meetinghouse.

As you walk into the church, one of the Welcome, Beloved team members will greet you and help direct you to where you can drop your kids off (we have options for kids from birth up to 5th grade every Sunday morning) or to either the Alternative or Traditional services, which both start at 9:30am.

Before & after each service.

Whether you arrive early or stay after for Coffee & Connection time, you’re welcome to meet with others, explore the grounds, or visit our Connection Corner to learn more about what’s happening in our church-community.

One Church, Many Expressions.

We offer both a Traditional and Alternative service on Sunday mornings. Both services are animated by our Core Values and actively seek to integrate Christian faith into every part of life. Our Traditional Service features organ-led worship and other classical music accompaniments along with Scripture reading and an inspiring message. The Alternative Service features nontraditional music, small group discussions, and thoughtful reflections. So, no matter what you seek in a Sunday morning experience, we have an option for you.

Who we’re aspiring to become.

Welcome, Beloved.

There's a place for you to belong in the Meetinghouse. We want to create a genuine community where this welcome feels real.

Risk the Messy Path of Faith.

Hiding any part of yourself is hard. We want to extend hospitality to every part of each other's story.

Wrestle with the Tensions in God's Word & World.

Sometimes, God's story and ours feel worlds apart. We want to live faithfully among these tensions.

Immerse in Sacred Spaces & Rhythms.

God shows up in our real lives. We want to make space to notice all the ways that this happens.

Do Good, for Christ's Sake.

Loving God and loving our neighbors are bound together. We want to love God by loving all of God's world.
