Middle School

Discover yourself as God's beloved here.

Our middle school ministry intends to walk alongside students and inspire them to develop their own authentic faith, then equip them to share it with their communities.

All middle schoolers (grades 6-8) are invited to be a part of this group on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30pm in the Pond Room. (And come for dinner at 5:30!) No registration is needed, just show up, on your own or with a friend!

We meet in Large Group for the first hour to have serious FUN and to hear the story of God - past, present, and future. We’ll wrestle with the Bible, the messiness of faith, social justice, and our own stories.

We meet in Small Groups led by high school and young adult leaders for the last half hour. These groups are meant to deepen our faith and deepen our community, to be a space where you can be fully known, fully accepted, and talk about stuff that matters.

Throughout the year, we’ll also have special events as well as service opportunities, because God’s story goes way beyond the walls of the church building and we all have a role to play in this story.

If you’re a middle schooler you are welcome here and you belong here. We hope to see you on a Wednesday night soon!

Trunk-or-Treat

October 31st from 10:30 – 11:30am

Decorate your car and join other families at the Countryside Parking Lot for Trunk-or-Treat. Visit cars lined up and go trick-or-treating with games, toys, and candy included, and make it back in time for the Installation Lunch program at 11:30am. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and we've got food allergy-safe options for everybody. Free - no registration required.

Want to sponsor a trunk? Sign up here!

Flannel Fest

October 20th from 6:00 - 10:00pm

All middle schoolers are invited to this special event that will take place instead of our normal Wednesday group. Throw on some flannel and come for a night at the farm! We’ll be heading to Dehn’s Pumpkin Farm for a flashlight corn maze, hayride, bonfire, and more! We'll be outside the whole night so dress accordingly! Drop off and pick up at Colonial. We’ll be taking a bus and masks required for the bus ride.

A perfect night to invite your friends! Cost is $20 - includes all activities and a sweatshirt! and sign up is required.

Friends are (always) welcome! Full scholarships are (always) available!

Parents, Caretakers, & Legal Guardians

If you’re an adult who loves middle schoolers we also want to connect with you - not to make you volunteer for a million things - but just to come alongside you in support. Check here for some adult opportunities this year.

Buddy System
Everyone is welcome to be a part of this group regardless of ability. If you have a middle schooler that may need one-on-one attention please reach out to us so we can create the best environment for your student. We have “Buddies” available who have been trained and are ready to help with accessibility, navigating the different parts of the night, etc. so your student can be fully present. Please reach out to Nicole Smalley to discuss this individually.
