March 25th. Palm Sunday: Embody Me.

March 25th. Palm Sunday: Embody Me.

TAKE A MOMENT TO BREATHE IN GOD’S PRESENCE as you begin.

Colossians 2:9-10

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

…and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.

Go to the Limits of Your Longing” by Rainer Maria Rilke

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.

These are the words we dimly hear:

You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.

Flare up like a flame
and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don’t let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.

Give me your hand.

PRAYER God, on this Palm Sunday, may we hear your invitation -the call of a God who came not as a king on a horse, but as Jesus of Nazareth, riding on a humble donkey. May we live into this fullness. May we embody you in the world. May we hold fast to your love. May we know your life. On this day we give you our hands, our hearts, and our lives. AMEN.

TAKE A MOMENT OF SILENCE as you close.
