“Faith &” Gathering

October 28 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

What does it mean to follow Jesus into all of our life?

“Faith &” Gatherings

Monthly Gatherings on Thursday Nights from 6:30 – 8:00pm (In-Person, YouTube, & Zoom)

Does following Jesus touch all of our life? Join us in our ongoing journey to find out as we gather monthly to hear facilitators exploring topics that intersect faith with weighty subjects like justice, humanities, environmental stewardship, and everything in-between.

Misusing the Medieval: John Eldredge and the (Un)Real William Wallace

William Wallace is the key figure behind John Eldredge’s best-selling book Wild at Heart. For Eldredge, William Wallace is the picture of what modern Christian masculinity has lost and must recover.

But what if Wallace’s legend is actually a critique of the way Eldredge uses it? Join Dr. Mark Bruce as we dig into the source material behind William Wallace’s character in Braveheart and explore how it’s making points that run against the picture of masculinity that John Eldredge finds in it.

Contact Rev. Christian Collins Winn with any questions.
