Kids (K-5th Grade)
For more information about how we are supporting kids and families during COVID-19, visit our Kid’s Ministry Virtual Church Page.
Elementary kids, Kindergarten through 5th grade, are encouraged to explore their faith in Jesus by interacting with a monthly life app- something God does inside of us to affect the world outside of us. Kids grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship by living out three basic truths: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Kids are placed in small groups by age and grade with a small group leader.
FaithTrek Sundays 9:30am: Elementary kids check in before the worship service begins, then join their family in the Meetinghouse. Families hear about the life of the church, worship in song and engage a life app together. Kids are dismissed and met by Children’s Ministry leaders at the side of the Meetinghouse. Kids hear a large group Bible story and break into small groups. Pick up is in your child’s small group classroom immediately following the service.
Meetinghouse Kids Wednesdays 6:30pm: Check in your elementary aged kids at the Children’s Ministry Booth up to ten minutes before 6:30pm. Drop off and pick up is in the Elementary Hallway small group rooms. The night consists of two small group times and a large group time led by Colonial staff with a mission project, Bible story, worship and fun celebrations.
