The Colonial Chorale
Rehearsal, Wednesdays, 6:45 – 8:30 pm, Music Center
All are welcome to join The Chorale! The Colonial Chorale is the primary worship leading ensemble of the 9:00 am worship service on Sunday mornings. With nearly 70 voices singing through a diverse range of choral music, The Chorale offers a dynamic and fun choral experience for singers of all ages high school and up. Former directors of The Chorale include Robert KarlĂ©n, Cary John Franklin, Henry Charles Smith, David Hargrove, Karl Zinsmeister and Tim Sawyer. The Chorale is conducted by Mark Stover, Director of Worship, Music & Arts. Charles Forsberg, noted composer and long-time faculty member at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota has served as Colonial’s principal organist and Chorale accompanist since 1966. The Colonial Chamber Singers
Rehearsal, Mondays, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Music Center
This chamber ensemble was founded in 2010 to provide an additional avenue for people to engage in the choral music life of Colonial Church. It is an auditioned choir oriented around worshipping through the diverse canon of Western Music, particularly a cappella settings. The Chamber Singers lead in worship once a month and collaborate with The Chorale for major Festival Sundays in the life of Colonial Church. To schedule an audition, contact Mark Stover.
The Colonial Worship Band
This band is selected from the community of Colonial Church and the broader Twin Cities area as the primary worship leading ensemble of our 10:45 am worship service. Led by Mark Stover, the band is a dynamic team of collaborative artists who play a variety of instruments and seek to engage the worshiping community through innovative contemporary worship expression. Drummers, bass players, electric guitarists, pianists, and gifted vocalists lead on a weekly basis. To inquire about playing in the worship band, contact Mark Stover.
The Colonial Handbell Choir
Rehearsal, Tuesdays, 6:15 – 8:00 pm, Music Center
Come join the Bell Choir! We need ringers to help this outstanding ensemble continue its vibrant ministry of bell ringing. The Bell Choir is led by conductor Chad Junker and plays in worship generally on every 4th Sunday of the month. To inquire about joining this outstanding choir, contact Chad Junker.
