Wednesday Night Live Kitchen Crew – Time: September – May The Kitchen crew at Colonial is always looking for help to prepare meals for our dinner on Wednesdays. We need help cooking, cleaning, and much more. This fabulous group of people is led by Chef Jeff Riley. We hope you will join us!
Reception Desk – Time: Ongoing Our Front Desk volunteers can fill in either as substitutes or on a more regular basis. We have morning and afternoon shifts on the weekdays. We also need help on Sunday Mornings. It really does make a big difference in the flow of the staff’s day to have a friendly face greeting visitors, answering the phone, helping with mailings and bulletins.
Young Adults – Time: Annual Help to guide strategic vision for engaging 20 and 30-somethings
New Member’s – Time: Every Fall & Spring The new members group plans and executes new member classes (NEXT) and Sundays; typically involves members of the Deacon Board.
Funeral Reception – Time: Ongoing Plan/implement/support Pastoral Care support of families planning a reception following a memorial service at Colonial.
Senior Support – Time: Ongoing Coordinate services and events that preserve connections with our members living in senior housing.
Pastoral Care Special Events – Time: Seasonal Support special worship events that support the Colonial community. e.g. All Saints/Service of Remembrance.
Marriage Enrichment Couples to create and perpetuate relationships with engaged, newly married and programs for enriched marriage.
Acts of Love – Time: You choose Acts of Love is a ministry that provides meals, rides or home help for members of the church that have recently had babies, undergone surgery, or are simply in need. Click here to find out more.
Local & International Hunger – Time: Seasonal Coordinate outreach to local ministry partners and international programs.
Mission Special Events – Time: Ongoing Coordinate outreach special events and projects offering service opportunities to local and international ministry partners.
Local Social Service – Time: Seasonal Plan and initiate opportunities for local service projects for Colonial.

Concerts – Time: Ongoing Ushering, Hospitality, Concert Logistics.
Art Exhibits – Time: Ongoing Hosting Receptions, Mounting Shows, Taking Shows Down, Recruiting Artists.
Decoration – Time: Seasonal Decorating Church and Meetinghouse for Advent/Christmas (Saturday following Thanksgiving).
Baccalaureate Sunday – Time: Every June Traditionally the parents of 11th graders. Plan, prepare, serve the breakfast.
Confo Banquet – Time: Every October Help plan and organize the annual confirmation banquet.
Family Christmas Service – Time: October – December Create a family-friendly Christmas Eve service (usually 3:00 p.m.), recruit volunteers, rehearse, and implement.
History/Archive – Time: Ongoing A group of members who are passionate about organizing and preserving the history of Colonial. Sort, organize, store & display the items in the Archive Room in the Library. Decide what is worth keeping and let go of the rest. Catalog and preserve the items that are kept.
Building & Grounds – Time: Once a month Plan and oversee the care of the building and grounds.
Stewardship – Time: September – February Create vision, language and process around stewardship.
