Your response delighted us! Thank you for the 518 love filled shoe boxes you contributed to Operation Christmas Child. In addition to your generosity we also received 1,384 shoe boxes from other churches and neighbors in the western suburbs. This has been our best year ever with a total of 1,902 shoe box gifts received! Thank you for sending love and hope to hurting children around the world in 130 countries.

Please bring canned goods and other holiday food items to share with our neighbors in need.
This year’s food drive will benefit our two local ministry partners, Community Emergency Services (CES) and Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP). Financial gifts are also welcomed.

February 18 – 26, 2012

> Once again, Colonial will be part of a multi-church team going to Lima, Peru, to teach English to hundreds of impoverished Peruvian kids ages 6-18.

> Last year we had 600 students attend the week-long camp, and they not only learned English, but they also learned about Jesus, and were loved and encouraged in His name.

> Peruvian Partners has been serving in this shantytown called Flores de Villa, built on the site of an abandoned garbage dump on the edge of the city for over 20 years.

> These English camps are a tangible way to remind these kids they are remembered.

94 Backpacks delivered!
Thanks to all who helped Colonial make a significant contribution to the Urban Ventures school backpack project!

WoW! I just want to report the GREAT blessing as we handed out backpacks in the last 5 days.
Our kids were so excited –even jumping– at the time we gave them their schools supplies.
One girl said, “It is pink! I love pink!! thank you thank you thank you!”

It was a blessing. Gracias.

Thanks to you 285,120 meals are ready to be shipped!

But we’re not quite finished we still need about $32,000 to complete the job of shipping and sending the team to hand deliver meals to Haitian refugees, while working alongside them during rebuilding, improving hygiene and working towards sustainability…all while providing love, care and hugs!
