Volunteer Opportunities

Last November, during our stewardship campaign, we were reminded that stewardship is not only about the giving back of our money, but it is also about the giving of ourselves and our time back to God. Part of belonging to a covenant community is the opportunity to minister to each other in the community. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for you to consider. For some of the positions, we need people immediately; for other positions, the need is coming. Where possible, time commitments have been listed to give you an idea of what’s needed for the task.

Although we’re beginning with a list of volunteer opportunities within our Colonial community, we want to also be thinking of how we can minister to those outside of our building . . . how can we assist our covenant partners like Total Victory Christian Church, how can we reach out to the neighborhood that surrounds Colonial? As you read through this list and consider what you’d like to be involved in, let this be a beginning - don’t be bound by what is listed here. I want to encourage you to minister to each other out of your giftedness - this is not an exhaustive list. What are talents and abilities that you’d like to offer to Colonial? Add to this list in the space provided.

Please contact the Ministries Resource Committee and they will follow through and give your name to the person responsible for each volunteer opportunity. You are a people who give . . . and I’m sure you’re going to keep us very busy putting people and tasks together!!
