There are three
options yet before the congregation regarding the use of the land east
of the south parking lot. One is to not develop the land but to
preserve it. The second option is to sell it. The third option is to
develop the land. The Land Use Task Force has worked diligently for
over a year to research and recommend several viable and serious options
for the Council to determine. Finalist proposals will go to
congregational vote on May 14.Options 1 and 2 documents are presented
below. A position paper, written by Wilson Bryce, is included here on preserving the land (option1). There is a slide reflecting the possible $ should the decision be to sell the land (the suggested sale price is for demonstration only)(option2). Please attend informational meetings after each service on April 27th, the final developers’ presentations after each service on May 4. It is important that we take this great opportunity seriously to be informed and to come together to decide this part of Colonial’s future. |
