Anne-Marie Finsaas joined the Colonial family as Minister to Children in September 2005. She holds a Masters of Arts degree in Children’s and Family Ministry from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Anne-Marie understands her calling to minister to children as the opportunity to offer kids a transformative relationship with Jesus. She loves to see that “aha” look in a kid’s eyes when they connect the dots and get a picture of God’s love and grace. Her passion is to partner with families and caring volunteers to pass on a faith that is integrated into a child’s everyday life.

Anne-Marie was born in Australia and still holds her Aussie citizenship. As a child, she grew up in Thailand, Nepal and Indonesia and attended boarding school in Australia. She immigrated to the United States to marry the Minnesotan missionary she had met overseas. Ken and Anne-Marie have been married for over 20 years and have three beautiful children. For fun, Anne-Marie gardens in the spring, grills and attends outdoor concerts in the summer, survives allergy season in the fall and loves a cup of tea and family conversations in front of a fire in the winter.
