Warming a January evening is gospel music from the heart featuring singer Robert Robinson and his combo. 

Minnesota native Robert Robinson and his musical combo perform stirring and inspirational music in this program of gospel favorites.  Perceived as the “Pavarotti of Gospel,” Robinson has aspired to make music  his lifelong career.  He can be heard as both lead and background vocalist on a variety of album projects, and he has performed with such greats as Barry Manilow, Bobby McFerrin, Doc Severinsen and the Minnesota Orchestra, Trisha Yearwood, Andrae & Sandra Crouch, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and The Steeles.  For fifteen years, he toured with nationally celebrated pianist Lorie Line and her Pop Chamber Orchestra, serving as the only vocalist in her holiday, spring and summer tours.  He currently serves as the executive/artistic director of the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir, a group of 65 which had its beginnings in 1990.  Robinson has produced two CD projects through Compass Productions, which are distributed exclusively through Target Stores—Gospel Hymns and Gospel Christmas.  His latest, entitled Inspiration, while spiritual and powerful in treatment, primarily includes non-gospel songs.
